While Saif Ali Khan plays the role of a rich Mumbai based theater owner, Kangana Ranaut is the prime attraction of his theater. 1. Fantastic, detailed and realistic war scenes! By the looks of Rangoon’s trailer, we definitely expect it to have some world class war action.
2. World War 2 has never been covered largely by Indian films, let alone a whole film set in it’s backdrop. We definitely look forward to the film shedding some light on India’s contributions to World War 2.
3. Kangana Ranaut’s character is particularly interesting as it’s speculated to be based on the real life’s of Fearless Nadia, the Actress and Stuntwoman and Noor Inayat Khan who spied for the Allied Forces.
4. Sensuous Shahid – Kangana and Saif – Kangana scenes. The posters say it all, need we say more?
The talented Director has deployed the best from his Haider (2014) team for the making of Rangoon. While the music is given by Vishal Bhardwaj himself, lyrics are written by Gulzar, Pankaj Kumar is taking care of the cinematography while the film is being edited by Aalaap Majgavkar, who has edited a lot of Vishal Bhardwaj hits including Haider, Dedh Ishquiya, Talvar and Ek Thi Dayan.
This is definitely going to be one well made and beautifully directed period film and we are eagerly looking forward to it!
