Singer and host Ayushmann Khurrana along with other music veterans from the industry were present at the Mirchi Music Awards 2017 selection meeting held in Mumbai on January 24, 2017. The attendees included Kavitha Krishnamurthy, lyricist Javed Akhtar, composer Pritam Chakraborthy, singer Alka Yagnik and others.
Ayushmann at the event interacted with the media and expressed that he was excited with the fact that this year he is in the selection committee. The actor also talked about his upcoming movies and revealed that he is looking forward to three releases this year.
Ayushmann at the event was also asked which recreated songs he liked the most to which he answered ‘Kala Chashma’. The actor also went on to say that there were several movies this year which had quality music and also took a few names that made a mark. Ayushmann was also asked if he had any plans to make any collaborations being a singer himself, to which he answered that he does not need to collaborate with any international singers as there are many good Indian singers who can be collaborated with.
The actor upon request also crooned a few lines of his favourite song ‘Channa Mere a’ from the movie ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
Each attendee was handed a promotional goodie bag and flaunted them as they posed for paparazzi. Unlike other Bollywood events, this one was more quiet and with less fanfare. The artists, who are responsible for some of the biggest hits in Bollywood, gathered together to celebrate what they love best – music.
