Vikram Bhatt launches his web channel VB on birthday

VB to feature various web series

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt on his 48th birthday launched his web channel VB at an event in Mumbai on January 27, 2017. The launch event also saw the attendance of Shama Sikandar, Anita Hassanandani, Nia Sharma and others.

The new web channel will feature various web series that will be based on different genres including thrillers, love stories and historical dramas. Bhatt at the launch event also unveiled posters of six web series that have been finalized for the near future. ‘Maaya’ will be the first web series and will be based on the subject of BDSM, which will be first of its kind for the Indian audience.

However, similarities have been seen between Hollywood flick ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and ‘Maaya’ but Vikram denied such claims. The web series will see Shama playing the role of a housewife who is in search of her sexual fantasies. The actress at the launch event looked great in a black outfit she sheer panels at the neck and sleeves.

Another web series unveiled at the event was ‘Twisted’ which revolves around a murder and the consequences following it. Nia at the launch event was seen in a satin pink outfit. Anita Hassanandani will also be featuring in another web series ‘Sarancore’ which is a period drama and also stars Aamir Ali. The actress looked great in a green outfit.

This is a great way to open up the Indian audiences to topics that would have been considered as taboo, but something that will be embraced when it is brought through entertainment.
