Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan reveal trailer of Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya

Actors Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan launched the trailer of their upcoming movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ at an event in Mumbai on February 2, 2017. Alia carried a traditional look in a red outfit while Varun was seen in a kurta and pyjama with a jacket.

The two were seen riding on a bike and were completely immersed in their characters. The movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ is the sequel to the movie ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya’ released in 2014.The movie is directed by Shashank Khaitan and jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta.

The makers of the movie have assured that the upcoming romantic comedy movie is full of peppy music, drama and a lot of spice. Speaking about Alia as a bride, Varun said, “I think Alia will make a good bahu as she is good with parents.” Varun at the launch event lifted Alia in his arms as the song ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ played at the background. The launch event also saw producer Karan Johar, who was asked at the event if he was looking for an inspiration in Bollywood’s classic romantic comedy for this project to which he said, “We copy movies all the time, we are not pretending to be original”.

Varun While talking about his character said that Badri is a very special character and that he is nervous and feels like it is his first movie. The actor also confessed that he consumed a lot of alcohol during the film. Alia too talked about her character and said that Vaidehi is not a shy girl and that she id domesticated and will make a good bahu. Varun at the event also revealed that his best friend used to call him ‘Badri’ which is an abbreviation of ‘brother’ after which his character was christened.
