Monica Dogra Shakes A Leg At College Fest

American singer and actress of Indian origin, Monica Dogra was a guest at a college festival in Mumbai on February 8, 2017. The actress was seen shaking a leg at the event and was garbed in trendy shorts and t-shirt.

Dogra made her acting debut with the movie ‘Dhobi Ghat’ in 2011. The actress also appeared in the movie ‘Rock On’ in a guest appearance but ‘Dhobi Ghat’ was her proper debut. Monica has also appeared in the movies ‘David’ , ‘Fireflies’, ‘Tera Suroor’, ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ and ‘The Judge’.

The actress was approached by filmmaker Kiran Rao for the lead role of her debut directorial venture ‘Dhobi Ghat’. Reports say that Dogra had initially turned down to play the role but eventually accepted. In December 2011, the actress also turned judge for the ‘Never Hide Sounds’ musical talent contest by Rolling Stone. Dogra has also turned the host for The Dewarists which is a musical collaborative show on Star World India.

In 2013, the actress also performed with award winning violinist Scott Tixier for a series of shows sponsored by Dos Equis around the US. Monica Dogra is currently part of the judging panel for VH1’s The Stage alongside music producers Vishal Dadlani and Ehsaan of Shankar-Ehsaan-Roy fame.

She attended the college event in a Metallica band shirt coupled with cut-off shorts and a trendy plaid shirt tied around her waist. Monica has been part of the music scene for a number of years now, and first went mainstream with the electro duo Shaiir+Func.
