Bollywood Garam: Bollywood movie ‘Dum Maaro Dum’ is still being scanned by the Goa High Court, where a Public Interest Litigation was filed against the makers of the film for its dialogues. Moreover, the Goa State Woman’s Commission too had objected against certain dialogues that had hurt the sentiments of the women.
The commission had demanded that the dialogue that ‘women in Goa are cheaper than alcohol’, should be removed. An official spokesperson of the film had said that the makers have made changes on the dialogues following the objection.
The Dum Maaro Dum movie was also discussed in the Goa Assembly, where the opposition parties had demanded a ban on the movie. Even Pratap Singh Rane, who was the speaker of the house, had said that the movie is actually disclosing the reality of the state.
The Public Interest Litigation, which was filed against the movie, was heard on 13th of April. However, the results of the discussion are yet to be disclosed and the dates have been postponed to April 18. The spokes person of the movie also said that the movie has been given an ‘A’ certificate by the censor board. Savio Rodrigues was the person who had filed the PIL against the movie and one has to wait and watch what happens to DMD.
