Rani Mukherjee Ready for Major Comeback with ‘Hichki’

Rani Mukherjee all set to get back to work

The queen of romance, Rani Mukherjee announced some good news for her fans as she spoke about her return to movies. The actress will soon be seen in the upcoming movie ‘Hichki’ under husband Aditya Chopra’s banner, Yash Raj Films. Rani looked splendid, glowing, excited and happy in a black outfit and completed her look with a million dollar smile.

Mrs. Aditya Chopra in an official statement said, “I was looking for a script that would challenge and excite me, and Hichki came my way. Each one of us has a weakness that pulls us back, it could be a disability or any condition but if we just look at it as simply a hiccup, we can emerge as a winner. It won’t come in the way of achieving your dreams. Hichki is built on this positive premise and I have decided to take it up.”

Rani was snapped at a photoshoot at a studio in Mumbai. ‘Hichki’ will be Rani’s first movie after her maternity break. The actress gave birth to a baby girl, Aadira in 2015 and was last seen in the movie ‘Mardaani’ in 2014. Rani, in the movie, was seen playing the role of a cop.

The famed actress made her debut in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. She went on to star in a number of hit romantic films in the 90s. Her personal life was mostly kept under wraps, and very few knew about her ongoing relationship with famed producer, Aditya Chopra. After her wedding, she mostly kept out of the limelight, only making special appearances for her friend Karan Johar’s films in cameo roles.

‘Hichki’ will be directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Maneesh Sharma under the YRF banner.
