While there is still more than a month left for the release of the film Padman, Akshay Kumar has already begun the promotions of the film. The actor was snapped promoting the film at a mall in Mumbai on December 21, 2017.
Akshay looked dapper with his new look and was seen wearing a black t-shirt and black pants. The Khiladi star will be seen playing the role of the real life hero Arunachalam Muruganantham, who made low-cost sanitary pads for women living in the rural areas and could not afford expensive sanitary pads available in the market.
The film also stars Sonam Kapoor and Radhika Apte and is ready to be released in theatres on January 26, 2018. Padman is directed by R Balki and will also mark the debut of Twinkle Khanna as the producer under the production of Mrs. Funnybones Productions. Akshay said that the film is also about creating awareness about menstrual hygiene among women in the rural areas.
