TV actress Ankita Lokhande, who made a mark in the TV industry with the popular daily soap Pavitra Rishta, is ready to make a mark in Bollywood as well with the upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The actress was snapped spending time with people at an old age home in Mumbai on January 10, 2018.
Ankita looked graceful in a black ethnic outfit. The actress expressed, “I come here every year and this time I wanted to make awareness that how important our parents and elders are and all they need from us is love. I always wanted to open an old age home but I think we, the youth should be responsible enough to take care of our parents and make a point that there are no such places in future. I adore them truly and they are very close to my heart”.
Ankita Lokhande donated blankets, food and clothes at the Jeevan Asha old age home in Veera Desai in Mumbai. The actress was seen bonding and spending time with the old people. The 33 year old actress will soon be making her debut in Bollywood with the film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in which she will be seen playing the role of Jhalkari Bai.
The film is directed by Krish and has Kangana Ranaut playing the lead role of Rani Jhansi, who was also known as Rani Laxmi Bai. Manikarnika also stars Atul Kulkarni, Sonu Sood and Suresh Oberoi. The film is due to be released in theatres on April 27, 2018.
