BollywoodGaram.com: Shobhaa De’s ‘Never A Dull De’ by director Gauri Shinde was launched on the second day of Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest on November 15, 2013. While reading an excerpt from the book, Gauri and Shobhaa have talked about the need for more gender sensitivity in the country.
De said, “We have a tradition in Marathi’s that when a boy is born the elder sister dips her hand in kumkum and puts on his back as an auspicious sign.” The festival also saw the launch of various books, interesting workshops and sessions.
In addition, the day saw the launch of the much talked about Naresh Fernandes’ memoir of his beloved city Mumbai, titled ‘A City Adrift’.
