Ragini Ahuja’s ‘Metal’ collection at the LFW 2014 brings comfort style to the ramp.
Indian designer Ragini Ahuja introduced her unique collection ‘Metal’ on day 4 – August 23, 2014 – of the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014. Ahuja’s sartorial ensembles are always known for its out-of-the-box style, her ‘Metal’ couture line applied some earthy tones, leather appliqué and breezy Silhouettes.
The collection was heavily inspired by geometrical shapes and consisted of tunics, shirts, bomber jackets, loose pants, sheath tops, boyfriend shirts and kimono tops. The designer’s color palate was restricted to rustic hues such as navy blue, black, oxblood and chocolate brown.
The garment fabrics made heavy use of Chanderi and lightweight materials like the cotton; comfort over style was definitely the mantra here!
