Bollywood superstar Salman Khan eyes the Marathi film industry, says he wishes to star in a Marathi movie.
Bollywood’s bad boy Salman Khan has already made his mark in the Hindi film industry and is now eyeing the Marathi film industry. Khan recently played a cameo role in Riteish Deshmukh-starrer ‘Lai Bhari’. Now the ‘Dabangg’ star says that he would like to play the lead role in a Marathi movie.
On September 15, 2014, the actor launched the music of Marathi movie ‘Sangnto Aika’, where he expressed his desire to work in a Marathi flick. When asked is he would like to play a lead role in a Marathi movie he said, “Oh definitely, I would love to do a lead role in a Marathi film.”
Salman added that Marathi Cinema has great potential but has been ignored for a very long time. The ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ actor added that Marathi Cinema has the potential to touch great heights and it is important to spread as much awareness as possible. Reports say that the actor is planning to remake ‘Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho’ by Mahesh Manjrekar which released in 2010.
Salman was last seen in the movie ‘Kick’ and is now all set to make his comeback on TV as the host of popular TV reality show ‘Bigg Boss 8’. This will be the third consecutive season that he will be hosting.
