Indian designer Ritu Kumar showed off her stunning collection that she calls ‘Varanasi Weaves’ on Day 2 of the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 on August 27, 2015. Kumar’s initiative of ‘Varanasi Weaves’ was done with the help of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.
Actress Aditi Rao Hydari turned showstopper for the designer and stunned in pink sari that she wore in an anarkali style. The new collection by Ritu Kumar has helped to encourage traditional textiles. Kumar’s initiative to support the handloom industry in the country.
Actress Shabana Azmi talked high about the designer and said, “One good thing in today’s fashion that I can see is that we are going towards our roots and embracing it.” LFW started off on August 30, 2015 and concluded on August 30, 2015.
