Amitabh Bachchan joins alumni members at Kirori Mal College
Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan attended the alumni event held at his alma mater Kirorimal College in Delhi on February 8, 2017. The ‘Black’ star along with other alumni members gathered to raise funds to rebuild the college theatre. The college theatre is in the name of their drama teacher Frank Thakurdas.
Mr. Bachchan look elegant in a white kurta pyjama and a yellow jacket. The alumni association organized a felicitation ceremony where alumni from different batches registered in huge numbers. Amitabh was honoured by the hands of the principal Bhim Sen. Sen at the event expressed, “As a matter of pride, Kirori Mal College has not only produced Amitabh Bachchan, but also many other world class leaders in all spheres.”
The actor also shared this on social media and wrote, “College Alumni, meet to raise funds rebuild College theatre in name of Drama teacher Frank Thakurdas .. many alumni now in Films.”

The 74 year old actor also shared his thoughts on his blog and said that many of the prominent faces in the industry are from the Alumni and that it was a delightful evening to get together to pledge their support for a cause.
Amitabh Bachchan studied in Kirori Mal College from the year 1959 to 1962. Some of the other members of the alumni present at the event included Kabir Bedi, Satish Kaushik and others. On the work front, the actor was last seen in the movie ‘Pink’ in which he played the role of an advocate. Mr. Bachchan is currently working on his upcoming movie ‘Sarkar 3’ directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
