Smriti Irani and Maneka Gandhi interact with designers at Amazon India Fashion Week ’17
TV actress turned politician Smriti Irani and Union Cabinet Minister for Women and Child Development, Maneka Gandhi graced Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2017 in New Delhi on March 15, 2017. Irani was seen greeting the President of the Fashion Design Council of India, Sunil Sethi and fashion designer, Anju Modi.
Smriti appeared in a black printed sari and had a great time at the event. Sunil Sethi at the event said, “The graphics at the venue this time are very different. The inspiration for the fashion week’s venue has been taken from the graphics of the Bauhaus movement.”
The entire day of Day One of Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2017 was dedicated to the designers, who showcased handlooms from different corners in India.
Earlier in the day, Indonesian fashion designer, Novita Yunis brought her line to the Indian stage, with models showcasing materials that are environmentally friendly and had designs that resembled natural foliage that appears during the Autumn and Winter seasons. The entire theme for Fashion Week is about bringing together nature and high-end fashion. A number of big Indian fashion names are extending their support for the event.
