Sunil Grover confirms that he is not returning to The Kapil Sharma Show, says “it’s a lie”

Earlier reports suggested that due to contractual obligations with Sony TV, Sunil Grover will have to return to the show

Sunil Grover has responded to all speculations around his return to The Kapil Sharma Show by saying that it’s all a lie and he intends to keep away from the show. He confirmed the same today and denied having shot of an episode of the comedy show in an interview with leading daily, Mid-day.

While the talented comedian and actor chose to maintain his silence on his return to Kapil’s Show, recent rumors and speculations prompted him to make his stance loud and clear.

Sunil further added that he is still considering his options and denies being in talks with a rival channel for hosting his own show. “At present, I am focusing on live shows and nothing else. I am also not talking to any other channel,” said Sunil Grover in his interview.

Sunil recently performed a live show in Assam and is gearing up for another live show at Talkatora Stadium in Delhi on April 1, 2017. This live performance of his will also feature Kiku Sharda as nurse Bumper Lottery. Talking about his experience doing live performances Sunil said, “I am overwhelmed by the love I am getting from the audience. Performing live is exhilarating.”

When asked about his relationship with Kapil Sharma and their mid-air fallout on March 18, he refused to make a comment.

In related news, makers of The Kapil Sharma Show have announced the addition of a new character to the show, but are keeping it’s identity hidden. After surprising his fans with inviting comedians Ehsan Qureshi, Raju Srivastav and Sunil Pal to his show, Sony TV announced that they more surprises in store for the audience. They made the announcement through their official Twitter handle.
