Mumbai police commissioner and women police officers attend special screening of Naam Shabana
Makers of the movie Naam Shabana organized a special screening for the police commissioner of Mumbai, Dattattray Padsalgikar and the police department in Mumbai on April 5, 2017. The screening event also saw the presence of female police officers. Actor Manoj Bajpayee, director Shivam Nair and producer Neeraj Pandey was also seen attending the screening event.
With the screening, the makers of the movie intended to celebrate the courage of the female police officers of the country. Naam Shabana filmmakers recently paid tribute to the undercover agents and acknowledged four of the unrecognized real heroes of the nation. The movie has thrown light on the recruitment and training process of a spy and has also showcased the adversities that are faced by the agents who are protecting the nation.
Naam Shabana has been showing a steady progress at the box office and collected Rs. 18.76 crores during its opening weekend. The movie is the prequel to the movie Baby and has focused on the character of Shabana, who was also seen in the earlier flick. Naam Shabana hit theatres on March 31, 2017 and is running successfully all over. Akshay Kumar, who was seen in the earlier movie is seen playing an extended cameo.
Taapsee Pannu plays the lead character for the film and reportedly learnt Judo and mixed martial arts to prepare for her role as the agent. The song from the film, Zubi Zubi has already topped the Indian music charts.
