Kangana Ranaut launches first poster of Manikarnika -The Queen of Jhansi at the banks of river Ganges
Filmmakers in Bollywood are constantly challenging their methods to find new ways to promote their movies. The makers of upcoming flick Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi went the traditional way for promotions. Actress Kangana Ranaut launched the first poster of the film at the Dasashwemedh Ghat at Varanasi on May 4, 2017.
The Queen actress was seen in a traditional sari as she performed a ritual and took a holy dip on the banks of river Ganges to seek blessings for her upcoming movie which will see the actress play the historic role of Rani Laxmibai. Kangana wore a Sabyasachi sari with kundan jewellery and completed her look with minimum make-up.
The entire process looked dramatic as Kangana was accompanied by a number of priests dressed in similar attire. The actress, before the big launch event, visited the Kashi Vishwanath Temple to seek blessings for her upcoming flick. Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, will be released on April 27, 2018.
Kangana Ranaut has worked hard to re-create the epic life of Jhansi Ki Rani. She was even filmed learning horseback riding at Mumbai prestigious Mahalaxmi Racecourse.
