Bollywood Garam: Director Farhan Akhtar was recently shocked after he read the news about his affair with an assistant director. The report was published on the front page of popular local newspaper, which said that he was getting closer to one of his assistant directors, but the “Rock On” actor says there is no truth in this at all.
The report moved the director so much that he had to issue an official statement that all that is published had no relevance and no truth in it. The statement said that the story was a fictional creation and a part of the imagination of the writer who had written the story.
Farhan had expressed that he was really upset on how could a person create such a story about a person. The ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ director said that he completely disregards the sense of ethics of the journalists.
He added that such a writing could even affect a persons life. The director in the statement added that the article ‘Farhan’s New Friend’ was nothing but a misleading article and that the statements mentioned in the article by the author are no where related to facts. The statement continued saying that it is essential to draw a line between creative sensational journalism and personal attacks, which does not remain just a piece of news.
Well, I guess it’s high time the stars lash out at false rumors, because mere gossip does not mean that it should make it to the front page just for more readers!
