Priyanka Chopra will be returning to Bollywood for a couple of films as well concentrating on producing more regional films through her production house
It’s been a rollercoaster ride for Priyanka Chopra for the past few months. After conquering Bollywood with a number of memorable roles, she made a name for herself in Hollywood as well. From attending the biggest red carpets to making appearances of some of the most popular late night shows in the United States, PeeCee has done it all within a short span of time. But like a true Desi girl, she is finding her way back to where her heart is – Mumbai.
Reports say that the show Quantico in which Chopra prays the role of FBI agent, Alex Parrish, may soon get the axe. The TRPs for the show plummeted drastically in its second season, owing to lower viewership. Quantico has been renewed for season three, but unlike the previous season, this one has a limited 13 episodes, instead of the average 22. However, Priyanka continues to maintain an optimistic outlook, as she tweeted yesterday, “So excited about the season 3 pick up for #Quantico. Congrats to everyone who made it happen! #AlexParrish will be back soon.”
The star continues to have professional commitments overseas, as she promotes her first foray into Hollywood movies with Baywatch in which she plays the antagonist. She stars alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron in the big screen reboot of the former hit beach-themed series. She’s been shuttling between Los Angles, New York and Mumbai for the past couple of weeks, going by her social media updates.
Sources say that the star is turning her attention back to Bollywood. She will soon be in the city to shoot for endorsements, followed by a couple of films that are lined up. Priyanka Chopra’s production house will get most of her time churning out regional movies. Ventilator, a Marathi film, has already picked up a National Award for the fledging company. One thing’s for sure, it’s great to have the actress back in the city!
