Get all the details on Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming debut film with Sushant Singh Rajput

A number of rumours have been doing their fair share of rounds in Bollywood about the debut role of Sara Ali Khan. Finally, there are some solid leads on Saif Ali Khan’s daughter’s role for her upcoming film. First off, we do know that she will be starring alongside Sushant Singh Rajput for her debut. Also, Rock On director Abhishek Kapoor will be donning the director’s hat for Kedarnath.

A source has allegedly told PTI: “Sara [Ali Khan] has been roped in to play love interest to Sushant in the film, to be directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The modalities regarding the project are being worked out at the moment.” Director Abhishek Kapoor worked with Sushant Singh Rajput for the latter’s debut film, Kai Po Che.

The romantic drama is said to be produced under the banner of Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures along with KriArj Entertainment. As of now, neither of the production houses have made any official announcement about Kedarnath though the film is said to be heading for a shooting schedule sometime later this year.

We had reported about Sara Ali Khan meeting with Abhishek Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput, accompanied by her mother Amrita Singh. The formal meeting was captured by the paparazzi, and appeared to be something more than just a casual dinner between industry friends.

Initially, Sara Ali Khan was said to be making her big screen debut in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year 2. The prequel was successful and launched three major Bollywood stars of this generation – Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. However, this rumour seems to have lost any momentum, as those plans have been shelved.

Meanwhile, Sushant Singh Rajput is working hard at promoting his latest romantic drama flick, Raabta. The film also stars his rumoured off-screen girlfriend, Kriti Sanon.
