Actor and comedian Ali Asgar graced the special screening of the Hollywood film Despicable Me 3 in Mumbai on June 12, 2017. The actor, at the screening event, talked about the good old days that he spent on The Kapil Sharma Show. Ali also revealed that he left the show due to some creative differences between him and host Kapil Sharma.
The actor said, “I really miss that show. It was unfortunate, but there are some times when you have to take certain kind of decisions. We worked there for the longest period of time, but after a certain point, there was a time when I felt that I should move from the show because I had creative differences with Kapil and his team.” Earlier reports had claimed that actors Chandan Prabhakar, Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar left the show after an incident that happened on a flight when Kapil allegedly abused and assaulted Sunil Grover in an inebriated state.
Asgar also clarified that he does not have any grudges against Kapil as they only had creative differences and has also learnt a lot from the host of the show. While talking about dubbing for the Hollywood film, Ali said that he dubbed for an animated series for the first time. Ali will soon be seen in a show with Sunil Grover on Sony. The actor added that his next show hasn’t been finalized and will take time.
