Actor Rahul Bose joined hands with Vidya Balan for the cause to help eradicate child abuse. Bose launched the NGO Heal: Help Eradicate Abuse at an event in Mumbai on July 25, 2017.
The Pyaar Ke Side Effects actor during the event talked about the delicate issue and how people do not even talk about the matter and don’t support the victims. The actor also threw light on the postpartum effects of sexual abuse on a child.
Vidya too shared her experience when she played the role of an abuse victim in the film Kahaani 2. The actress shared that she had several sleepless nights when she was reading about the issue. The Dirty Picture actress shared, “Child sexual abuse is something that we don’t want to even hear, forget to know of. When I did Kahaani 2, I read up about certain things which made me sleepless.”
The 38 year old actress was last seen in the film Begum Jaan and is currently looking forward for the release of her film Tumhari Sulu.
