Vidya Balan had a fan moment when veteran actress, Sridevi arrived for the final preview of the film, Tumhari Sulu on November 16, 2017. Vidya, in the film, has paid tribute to Sridevi with the song, Hawa Hawai 2.0, which is the revised version of the song Hawa Hawai from Mr. India.
While the vocals of singer, Kavita Krishnamurthy have been retained, the video shows Vidya, Neha Dhupia and RJ Malishka perform on the peppy track. Sridevi, for the final premiere event, looked pretty in a purple outfit and was seen bonding with Vidya and co-star Manav Kaul.
Vidya looked pretty in a green sari while Manav was seen in formals. Tanishk Bagchi has recreated the iconic track while retaining the vocals and lyrics of the original song. The act of Vidya cannot be compared to that of Sridevi in Mr. India as the settings are completely different. Tumhari Sulu is directed by Suresh Triveni and Vidya will be seen playing the role of a middle-class woman who lands in a job of a night radio jockey.
Sridevi was last seen in the film, Mom which was appreciated by the audience and the critics and did an average business at the box office. The actress had made a remarkable return to Bollywood with the film English Vinglish in 2012.
