TV actors Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy got married in a lavish big fat Indian wedding in Rajasthan on February 5, 2018. The couple first met on the sets of Suryaputra Karn and got engaged in Diwali 2017.
The wedding ceremony took place at the Tijara Fort Palace at Alwar, Rajasthan. The entire venue was lit up with flowers, lights and beautiful wedding décor. Some of the first pictures of the wedding has shown the groom in a golden sherwani with a turban and a floral sehra while Pankhuri can be seen in a beautiful red bridal outfit.
The sangeet ceremony of the coupe saw the two recreate the Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan’s look from the song Dil Diyan Gallan from the film Tiger Zinda Hai. Gautam and Pankhuri also danced to the tunes of the song during the ceremony.
The couple had kept their relationship under wraps for a long time. Last year when Gautam was asked about his engagement reports he confirmed, “Yes, Pankhuri and I recently got engaged and I feel lucky to have found a life partner like her. We share the same wavelength and she has fit into my family perfectly.” Friends and family of the couple posted several pictures and videos from the wedding ceremony on the social media.
