The film Housefull 4 has hit many roadblocks in recent times. Director Sajid Khan had stepped down as the director after he was accused of sexual harassment. Veteran actor Nana Patekar too, stepped down from the film after he was accused of sexual misconduct by actress Tanushree Dutta on the sets of the film Horn OK Pleassss in 2008. Rana Daggubati has now been signed for Housefull 4.
But now it seems like the makers are slowly getting things back on track. Since Nana Patekar quit the film, the makers have now roped in Rana Dagubatti in place of the veteran actor. Reports say that Rana Daggubati was given a narration and he immediately gave his nod for the film. The news was confirmed by the Baahubali star who said, “It is always good to find work outside of Hyderabad, get to learn so much and do so many new things. I’ve never been part of a genre like Housefull and it’s always exciting to work with different genres. Working with Akshay Kumar again (after Neeraj Pandey’s 2015 action-spy thriller Baby), Sajid (Nadiadwala) and Farhad (Samji) is something I am really looking forward to.”
The makers are currently shooting for Housefull 4 in Mumbai and Rana is expected to join the cast soon. The film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde. Director Farhad Samji is the director who has taken over the director’s hat.
