Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone exchange rings in traditional ceremony in Italy

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are now officially engaged as they begin the wedding festivities in Italy

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to get married in a very private wedding ceremony to be held at Lake Como in Italy on November 14 and 15, 2018. The couple is reportedly got engaged in a traditional ceremony held in Italy on November 12, 2018 as they begin their wedding festivities.

The traditional ceremony is known as the Phool Muddi ceremony which is a Konkani ceremony. Deepika’s father and ace badminton player champion Prakash Padukone welcomed Ranveer and his family. The would-be bride’s father offered the would-be groom a coconut and washed his feet as per the tradition and soon after the ceremony, the couple exchanged rings.

The ceremony was attended by the near and dear ones including Deepika’s mother Ujjala Padukone, sister Anisha Padukone, Ranveer’s parents Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani and sister Ritika Bhavnani. Deepika and Ranveer have asked for privacy on their special day and have asked the guests to be present at the wedding and pre-wedding ceremonies without their phones.

The Sangeet and Mehendi ceremony started off earlier on November 13, 2018 and November 14, 2018 will be the big day for which all the fans and followers are eagerly waiting for. Ranveer Singh and Deepika dated for 6 years and have worked together in the films like Bajirao Mastani, Ram Leela and Padmaavat.
