Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married in an intimate wedding ceremony held at Lake Como, Italy on November 14 and 15, 2018. The couple revealed their official pictures from the wedding on their respective social media accounts which went viral. Soon, congratulatory messages started pouring in on the social media. Even the official Twitter handle of Madame Tussauds congratulated the newly-weds and said that they will be unveiling Deepika’s wax statue in 2019.
The Tweet from Madame Tussauds said, “Congrats Deepika Padukone! We couldn’t be more excited for you and can’t wait for your figure reveal next year! #DeepikaWedsRanveer.” Deepika had earlier this year unveiled that she is all set to get a wax figurine at Madame Tussauds London and Delhi.
The popular Madame Tussauds museum already has the wax figures of some of the Bollywood personalities like Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Katrina Kaif and others. Padukone also met the team of Madame Tussauds experts for the specific measurements and photographs in London. The Padmaavat actress in a statement said, “I am so delighted. The sitting with the team of experts was a special experience and I look forward to the incredible figure at the attraction”.
Deepika’s wax figure will be displayed at the popular museum in Delhi along with the personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Virat Kohli and Asha Bhonsle.
