Rani Mukerji had made a mark with her film Mardaani, released in the year 2014. The film is now all set to have a sequel and Rani will be seen as the Superintendent of Police who is in a battle with a 21 year old villain. The drama thriller released in 2014 had seen Rani in a feisty performance and had narrated about the child trafficking problem.
The film is soon expected to go on floors and Rani will be facing the camera after a short break. Reports say that the film will go on floors on March 18, 2019. The shoot will begin in Mumbai and this will be a short schedule. The makers of the film have roped in a young boy, who will be seen playing the negative role.
The actress was last seen in the film Hichki in which she was seen playing the role of a teacher who suffers from Tourette Syndrome. The film was well received by the audience and had seen several young child artists showing off their acting skills on the silver screens.
The upcoming film will be produced by husband Aditya Chopra and will also mark Rani’s first film in 2019. The film will be helmed by debutant director Gopi Puthran, who was the writer of the film Mardaani.
