Shah Rukh Khan donates 25,000 PPE kits across Maharashtra for medical staff fighting coronavirus

Celebrities from Bollywood are leaving no stone unturned to help those facing tough times during the lockdown period and the medical staff and doctors who are working tirelessly fighting against the coronavirus pandemic. One of the most common complaints the medical staff and doctors are complaining about is lack of equipments out of which the PPE kits are crucial for those who interact with the coronavirus patients directly. Shah Rukh Khan has helped to provide 25000 PPE kits (Personal Protective Equipment) for the medical teams across the state of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra is one of the worst affected states and has the maximum number of active patients of coronavirus. The news of Shah Rukh’s contribution came when the Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare, the government of Maharashtra, Rajesh Tope thanked the filmstar for his support. Shah Rukh Khan also thanked the minister to help him source the kits.

Apart from the PPE kits, Shah Rukh has also the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Delhi, West Bengal and Maharashtra and PM-Cares Fund in the past few days. In the past days, the actor has also offered their 4 storey personal office space for quarantine capacity purpose which is also equipped with essentials for quarantined children, elderly and women.

On the work front, Shah rukh was last seen in the film Zero, which also starred Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
