BollywoodGaram.com: Bollywood stars dazzled at the 59th Annual Idea Filmfare Awards 2014, which were held at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai on January 24, 2014. Actors Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor co-hosted the ceremony which honored the best in Bollywood and also entertained the audience.
Veteran actress Tanuja Mukherjee was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her contribution to Indian cinema. Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ – a tale of an athlete – won the Best Film Award, while director Om Prakash Mehra won the Best Director Award for the Milkha Singh movie.
Meanwhile, the award for Best Actor was claimed by Farham Akhtar, while Deepika Padukone grabbed the Best Actress Award for her movie ‘Ram Leela’. Nawazuddin Siddiqui received the Best Actor in Supporting Role Male Award for ‘The Lunchbox’, while Supriya Pathak Kapur claimed the Best Actor in Supporting Role Female Award. Singers Arijit Singh and Monali Thakur won awards for their hit tracks ‘Tum Hi Ho’ (Aashiqui 2) and ‘Sawar Loo’ (Lootera), respectively.
Besides winners, the event featured power-packed entertainment from stars such as Ranveer Singh, who set the stage on fire with his hits like ‘Tattad Tattad’ and ‘Lahu Muh Lag Gaya’. Shahid Kapoor also showed off his dancing skills with tracks ‘Agal Bagal’ and ‘Saadi Ke Fall Sa’.
