BollywoodGaram.com: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan attended the ‘Meri Beti Meri Shakti’ book launch event that was held on February 26, 2014. The launch event was also attended by Kapil Dev, Sharmila Tagore and Anil Kapoor.
The stars at the event shared their experiences of being parents to a girl. At the event, the executive director of Plan India Bhagyashri Dengle said that the book is an effort to celebrate the girl child. ‘Meri Beti Meri Shakti’ promotes their rights and also helps in spreading the awareness about the value of girls in a family.
The idea for the book was given by the chairperson of Plan India, Govind Nihalani and it is available in both Hindi and English by journalist Sathya Saran.
