Subhash Ghai, Waheeda Rehman pay tribute to veteran cinematographers

BollywoodGaram.com: Veteran actress Waheeda Rehman and filmmaker Subhash Ghai paid tribute to the famous cinematographers – V K Murthy and V Babasaheb – during an event at Whistling Woods International in Mumbai. The president of Whistling Woods International, Meghna Ghai Puri posted on Twitter, “Tribute to the real heroes…legendary cinematographers VK Murthy and V Babasaheb… Such an honour to have legendary filmmaker Mr J Om Prakash to pay tribute to V Babasaheb.”

Murthy was a one-time violinist and jailed freedom fighter. He was also a regular cameraman on Guru Dutt’s movies.

During the black and white era movies, he managed to create some of most notable images. He also worked on India’s first CinemaScope film ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool’.
