Two of Bollywood’s most talented actresses – Vidya Balan and Tabu were seen attending the screening of ‘Filmistaan’ at Lightbox in Mumbai on May 26.
Slated for a nationwide release in June, 2014 , Filmistaan has already won several international accolades.
The film was screened at the Busan International Film Festival, the Mumbai Film Festival, and the International Film Festival of Kerala,where it won the The Silver Crow Pheasant Award for Best Debut Film in International Film Festival of Kerala.
The film bagged the Best Feature Film in Hindi in the 60th National Film Awards 2012. It was also screened at 24th Palm Springs International Film Festival, California. 23rd TROMSO International Film Festival, Norway, 36th Goteborg International Film Festival, Sweden and 5th Jaipur International Film Festival.
Vidya Balan was seen attending with her husband Siddhart Roy Kapur, putting to rest all rumours about trouble in the couple’s paradise that have been doing the rounds lately.
Well here’s hoping that the Filmstaan is warmly welcomed by audiences across the country.
