Vivek Oberoi, Suresh Oberoi and others face non-bailable warrant?

Bollywood Garam: Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi could not make a big mark in the Indian film industry, but seems to have found himself in trouble in other ventures too. A warrant has been issued against the actor, his father Suresh Oberoi and four others in the board of directors and a manager in Oberoi Multimedia Ltd.

The warrant was issued by the metropolitan magistrate after a cheque of Rs 3 crore which was given by the company bounced , which is run under the directions and instructions of the father and son. The metropolitan magistrate has issued a non-bailable warrant against the company.

The complaint was filed by Jawaharlal Agicha, who had provided financial assistance to the office bearers Suresh Oberoi, company MD Annand Oberoi, manager, Anil Lalwani for the brand promotion of the company in India and Abroad.

According to Agicha’s complaint, the accused had taken advantage of his acquaintance and had asked for financial assistance for promoting various Indian brands and had also helped Suresh and Vivek in launching of the products in Hollywood as well. The financial provider was offered post-dated cheques, but in the month of January 2010 he had received just Rs 50,000. The New India C-OP Bank had then dishonored a cheque of Rs 3 crore on October 19th 2010 with the remark that the account has been closed.
