Bollywood dabbles in theater as Richa Chadda and Kalki Koechlin prepare for their play Trivial Disasters.
Bollywood actors Purab Kohli, Richa Chadda, Kalki Koechlin and Cyrus Sahukar are all all geared up for their upcoming theater venture – ‘Trivial Disasters’. The play is directed by Atul Kumar and is a series of absurd comic sketches which draw inspiration from mundane everyday life events.
This ensemble cast of actors will share stage space for the very first time, the play too is an unconventional experiment.
Kalki will take on multiple characters in throughout the play, “I am playing five different characters and every character is completely different from each other. One is a very shy girl, second is of an elderly lady who is a poet, and I am even playing a boy in the play who is a salesman and is very hyper and energetic so it’s a fun play,” said the ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara’ star.
The actress added that the play is funny and also a bit scary. Richa plays some interesting characters in the play and said that it is proving to be a terrifying and exasperating experience for her as an actor.
The play – presented by Show house Events – will be staged in Mumbai on 3rd, 9th and 10th August, 2014.
