Falguni and Shane Peacock display their futuristic Indian bride at the India Bridal Fashion Week 2014.
Coveted Indian designers Falguni and Shane Peacock showcased their avant-garde bridal collection on day 3 – August 9, 2014 – of the ongoing India Bridal Fashion Week 2014 in New Delhi.
The husband-wife duo named their collection ‘Nuitsauge’ which literally means – a wild take on vintage. It truly was a wild take! The traditional Indian bridal attire was challenged and replaced by a modern western couture style.
The quintessential choli was swapped in for a for a jersey and dupattas were turned into capes; it was the futuristic Indian bride that ruled the ramp.
Elaborate ornate outfits with a sense of indo-western fusion dominated the runway. Sheer replaced the long traditional lehenga and the earthy red was swapped in for unconventional hues.
Charu Sachdev – socialite-turned-entrepreneur – stunned as a show stopper as she sashayed down the runway in a white and golden ornate lehenga.
