Furthering her political ambitions, item girl Rakhi Sawant supports women empowerment.
Bollywood’s original item girl Rakhi Sawant along with Ehsaan and Zeenat Qureshi supported the cause of women empowerment at an event in Mumbai on August 17, 2014. The women empowerment event was an initiative by Awaz Samajik Sanstha of Cyril D’souza.
The ‘Pardesia’ star showed off her generous side and distributed about 100 sewing machines to women as a part of the initiative.
The actress interacted with the crowd at the event and said, “The moment I joined politics I swore to support the problems faced by common man. Abiding by those promises I would like to encourage women empowerment. Hence here I am solving a part of those problems.”
