Bollywood and theater actress Shilpa Shukla and actor-director Rajat Kapoor attended the fourth day of the 5th Jagran Film Festival in Mumbai on September 25, 2014. Day four began with international cinema with the screening of Dutch, Spanish, Finnish, Portuguese, Russian, and French films.
The actress made her debut in the critically acclaimed film Khamosh Pani in 2003, following which she next appeared in Sudhir Mishra’s Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi in the same year.
Her role of Bindia Naik in the 2007 Shah Rukh Khan movie ‘Chak De! India’ fetched her a Filmfare Award nomination and also the National award consideration. Her 2013 film ‘B.A. Pass’, directed by Ajay Bahl, won the Audience Choice Award at the South Asian Alternative Film Festival (SAAFF) in Paris, France.
The actress recently finished shooting a Prakash Jha production, a comedy by the name of ‘Parivar Time. She is currently working on Sujoy Ghosh’s thriller ‘Durga Rani Singh’, which also stars Irrfan Khan.
