Veteran actress Rekha was honoured with the 3rd National Yash Chopra Memorial Award held at JW Marriot Hotel in Mumbai on January 25, 2016. C. Vidyasagar Rao the governor of Maharashtra presented the award at an event for her skill and contribution to Indian cinema.
Other attendees of the event included Sridevi, Boney Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Aruna Irani, David Dhawan, Shatrughan Sinha, Pamela Chopra, Jaya Prada, Adnan Sami, Sudhanshu Pandey, Subhash Ghai, Mohan Babu, Rohit Roy, Manasi Joshi and others.
The award has been conferred in honor of the late filmmaker Yash Chopra to recognize the great talents of the industry.
