Bollywood Garam: Popular Indian author Chetan Bhagat had recently clashed with actress Gul Panag on microblogging website Twitter. Chetan had reportedly cracked a joke about the actress that if Gul had married the Pakistani cricketer, Umar Gul, then her name would become Gul Gul.
Gul, who recently tied the knot with Rishi Attari, did not opt to remain silent and counter attacked saying, “At least you were expected to be more original than that”. However, the war did not end here as some of the followers on Twitter also seemed to support the actress, when one said that it was such an old and boring joke.
Gul has re-tweeted on that message made by a follower. Bhagat later had to face many such comments about his old joke. One of the messages said, “match dekh lo bhai sahib. Gul memsahib happily married hain ab” (Watch out for the match. Gul is now happily married).
Tom boy Gul, even after marriage, is keeping her fans updated by posting her honeymoon photographs. Gul had a traditional secret wedding in a ‘Gurudwara’. The actress made sure that she made her wedding ceremony unique by arriving in a Royal Enfield motorcycle for her wedding reception. Moreover, even the marriage procession of the actress had several Royal Enfields.
