Rangoon promotions
Indian actress Kangana Ranaut promoted her upcoming movie ‘Rangoon’ at an event in Mumbai on February 1, 2016. The actress having a great time promoting her movie and is also receiving accolades for her glimpses in the trailer and the songs ‘Yeh Ishq Hai’, ‘Tippa’ and ‘Mere Piya Gaye England’.
Kangana like always carried a stylish look with a printed checked shirt, black wide legged pants and a ribbon tied around her neck. The actress looked in a jovial mood and was seen writing the movie title on the blackboard of the school. Kangana looked super excited about her upcoming movie and was all smiles for the shutterbugs.
The upcoming movie is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj and also stars Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor. The movie was supposed to be shot after ‘Omkara’ but was stalled due to certain reasons. ‘Rangoon’ was earlier titled as ‘Julia’. The shooting of the movie began in November 2015 in Arunachal Pradesh, India and many junior artists from Manipur joined the crew for the first shift.
The shoot of the movie had to be stalled again in January after Shahid Kapoor and a Japanese actor was injured. Reports say that the actress travelled to New York to research on her role. ‘Rangoon’ is jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Vihal Bharadwaj and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The music for the movie has been composed by Vishal Bharadwaj while the lyrics have been penned down by Gulzar. The makers of the movie released the first song ‘Bloody hell’ in January 2016 and the full sound track was released in the same month. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on February 24, 2017.
