Bollywood Garam: Vida Samadzai, who was once crowned Miss Afghanistan, will be soon seen swaying to an item song in one of the upcoming Bollywood movies. The actress was recently in Delhi on a business trip, and she said that she is right now in talking terms with an Indian director, in Delhi.
It is still not known on which film she will be working on. As of ,now there are two movie shoots going on in the capital – ‘Ladies vs Ricky Bahl’ and Saif Ali Khan’s home production ‘Agent Vinod’.
Vida, when crowned as Miss Afghanistan, was never recognized with the title by the Republic of Afghanistan. She was the first Afghan woman to participate in an international beauty pageant. In 2003, when the actress appeared in a bikini for the Miss Earth pageant, a lot of controversy was created in Afghanistan over her bikini appearance.
In the year 1996, Vida had moved to the US to pursue further studies. The actress is a student of the California State University in Fullerton and is qualified in the field of Speech Communications and Advertising. Vida has expressed herself to be a social worker and wished to work with the United Nations to help and fight for the rights of the Afghan women.
