Kung Fu Yoga receives tremendous response in China
Indo-Chinese movie ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ might have failed miserably among the Indian audience but the movie has managed to garner a tremendous response overseas. The Jackie Chan and Sonu Sood starrer movie has already collected 943 million yuan (Chinese currency) which is equivalent to 923 crore Indian rupees, which is huge.
So the movie might have received a poor response in India but has managed to break many records in China. The movie has some of the big actors from the Chinese film industry alongside Indian actors, Sonu Sood, Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur.
‘Kung Fu Yoga’ has Jackie playing the lead role and is directed by Stanley Tong. Jackie was in India on a promotional spree. The movie is produced by Chinese-Indian co-production of Taihe Entertainment and Shinework Pictures. The original music has been composed by Nathan Wang and additional music has been composed by Komail and Shivaan.
Jackie is seen playing the role of a popular archeologist and teams up with an Indian professor Ashmita played by Disha, to find an old treasure from the Magadha treasure in Tibet. The movie hit the theatres in China on January 28, 2017 and was released in India on February 3, 2017.
International actor Jackie Chan is a sensation in his native country of China, as well as in Hollywood. His career, spanning decades of mega blockbusters are inspired by martial arts. He rose to fame in China, and then moved to the United States to become a struggling actor. He was recently awarded an honorary Oscar award for his contribution to worldwide cinema. His films have been produced in China, the US, Europe and his films have reached audiences worldwide. His first foray into Bollywood territory was with former item girl, Mallika Sherawat. Kung Fu Yoga is also proving to be a big hit in his country.
