Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and others flaunt their inked fingers for shutterbugs
With the ongoing BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) elections, it is time to exercise your franchise. Celebrities from Bollywood were not behind, and were seen at the voting booths and flaunting their inked fingers for the cameras.
Actors Shraddha Kapoor with her mother Shivangi Kapoor, John Abraham, Varun Dhawan, Ranveer Singh with his father Jagjit Singh, filmmaker Kiran Rao, Bhagyashree, Vindoo Dara Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Suresh Oberoi, Yashodhara Oberoi, Vatsal Seth, Hema Malini and others were seen casting their votes at their respective voting booths.
Even social media is flooded with election day selfies of celebrities. Many of them even encouraged others to go out and vote. Actor Suniel Shetty tweeted, “Point a finger at them only when you get this poiny on your finger! #Vote to earn the right to question.

#VoteKarMaharashtra”. Even actress Anushka Sharma posted a selfie with her inked finger and wrote, “Started my morning by casting my vote.Voting is our duty towards our country & its progress.Pls got out&vote #VoteKarMaharashtra.”
Shraddha Kapoor and John Abraham too posted their respective selfies on the social network and appealed others to vote as well. While most of the celebrities opted to wear white for casting their votes, actor Varun was seen in casuals while Ranveer was seen in a fluorescent green t-shirt, red pants with a blue cap. Ranveer is currently filming for the upcoming movie ‘Padmavati’ in which he will be seen playing the role of Alauddin Khilji. Varun, appeared to vote despite his busy promotion schedule of his upcoming movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’.
It was good to see celebrities casting their votes and also appealing general public not to waste their opinions.
