Shahrukh Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Salim Khan and others turn up to cast their vote
Indian actor Varun, who arrived early today to cast his vote was disappointed when he came to know that his name was not on the voter’s list. The actor could not cast his vote and said that he would inquire about the same with the Election Commission. Varun was accompanied by mother Karuna and brother Rohit Dhawan.
Rohit and mother Karuna could cast their vote but Varun could not get the chance due to the absence of his name from the voter’s list. The officials at the polling booth spent some time finding his name but could not. Varun was seen in black shorts and a peach t-shirt and happily posed for the shutterbugs.
The polling booth also saw celebrities Shaina NC, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar with wife Anjali Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan, Gulzar, Salim Khan, Arbaaz Khan, adman Prahlad Kakkar and others. Varun is gearing up for the release of his upcoming romantic comedy flick ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ which also stars Alia Bhatt.
It’s great to see a number of personalities become socially responsible and cast their vote for a political election. It is through star power that the masses also follow suit and vote to make a change in society. Though it is unfortunate that Varun Dhawan lost his chance to cast his vote, other celebrities lined up to cast theirs.
This is the third time Alia and Varun will be seen on the big screen.
