Bhoomi cast and crew hosted a press conference to address the issue
Veteran Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt addressed the media at a press conference in Agra on March 3, 2017. The actor, who is currently shooting for his upcoming comeback movie ‘Bhoomi’ in Agra, apologized for the alleged brawl that took place between the media and the actor’s security.
The incident took place on March 2, 2017 when the cast and crew was shooting near Kalakriti Convention Hall in Agra and a major road, just around 500 meters away from the monumental Taj Mahal. The area had been cordened off by the film crew on site to prevent the public from gaining access to the shoot. However, when security noticed a few members of the media taking photographs and trying to breach the barricated area, they assaulted them.
So at the press conference, Sanjay Dutt addressed the issue and claimed that he was not present when the alleged incident occurred. He also added that had he been on site at the shoot, he could have prevented the incident from taking place. The ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ actor told the present media at the press conference that “had I been there, I would have resolved the matter with a jaadu ki jhappi (magic hug). Yet, I tendered an apology yesterday and offer the same again”.
Along with the actor were his co-stars from the film – Aditi Rao Hydari, Omung Kumar, Shekhar Suman and Bhushan Kumar. The actor has been unable to stay away from controversy, minor or major, throughout his life. As a young star in Bollywood, he was known for his bad boy image, philandering ways and was most infamously jailed twice for an alleged connection with the underworld that nearly cost him his career. But it looks like he is back to action, making films once again. We just hope that he manages to stay in the news for all the right reasons, going forward.
