Family members of the veteran actor Vinod Khanna take home his body before the funeral ceremony
Actor Vinod Khanna breathed his last at 11:20 am at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai on April 27, 2017. The news of Khanna’s death sent shock waves in the industry. The veteran star was 70 years old and was in the hospital for more than a month.
A statement from the hospital said, “Vinod Khanna, who was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital, breathed his last at 11.20 am due to advanced bladder carcinoma”. The family members of the star were seen taking Vinod’s body home from the hospital. The funeral ceremony is expected to take place at 5 PM at the Banganga Crematorium in Worli, Mumbai.
Close friend and former co-star Amitabh Bachchan, was promoting Sarkar 3 at an event and rushed to the hospital, leaving the promotions midway when he heard about the news. Even filmmaker Karan Johar cancelled the premiere event of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion after hearing the news of Vinod’s demise. Several celebrities took their Twitter accounts to expressed their grief over the loss of a superstar.
