Renuka Shahane and Madhuri Dixit gave sibling goals when they played sisters in the blockbuster film Hum Aapke Hain Kaun in 1994. The actors are once again ready to reunite to after 23 years in an upcoming Marathi flick. The film will also mark Madhuri’s debut in the Marathi film industry, which has flourished in recent times.
The upcoming film will be directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar, who spoke about the film in a recent interview and said, “It’s a slice-of-life story with a dash of humour which a lot of people will be able to identify with. Unlike HAHK, Madhuri and Renuka are not related in our film but are connected through the narrative.”
It will be after 23 years the audience will get to see Renuka and Madhuri share the screen space. Renuka talked about the project and said that she was thrilled to know that Madhuri was on board to play the lead and had hoped for a long time that Madhuri would do a Marathi film. The 51 year old actress was all praises for Madhuri and said that she his down-to-earth as well as professional.
Shahane also said that they have many things in common as both of them are married they have two boys in the same age group.
