After 107 days of battling it out in the house of Bigg Boss 11, TV actress Shilpa Shinde claimed the winner’s trophy on January 14, 2018. Shilpa competed against Hina Khan in the final two and Vikas Gupta was the second runner up. The grand finale of the show saw all the contestants of the show along with the host Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
Shinde, who was earlier known for the popular TV series Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain, took home the prize money and the Bigg Boss Trophy. The TV actress had a turbulent journey in the house of Bigg Boss and was always misunderstood and was also questioned for her less participation in the tasks and spending more time in the kitchen. Shilpa also became famous for her constant fights with Vikas Gupta.
It was a cut-throat competition amidst Hina and Shilpa as Hina too had a big fan following . Shilpa was the one who cooked food for the contestants for all three months. Even host Salman Khan appreciated her many times at various occasions for her performance and behavior. Shilpa made many friends during her tenure in the house and fought alone till the end despite several hurdles.
The actress was also termed as Maa by many of the contestants for her warmth and caring that she always showed towards the inmates. Shilpa took home a prize money of Rs. 44 lakhs along with the prestigious trophy of the winner. Shilpa’s brother in an earlier interview said, “It feels great to see Shilpa winning hearts. She has set new benchmarks for the contestants of the upcoming season on one of the biggest reality shows of Indian television.” Shinde’s win on the show was celebrated by her fans on the
social media as well.
